The place I am going to describe is in the country where I was brought up. It is about 400 km north west of the capital, Harare, and was created to provide power for the countries to the north and south.
This place is very hot, even in winter. It is famous in the region for tourism, and many people visit the place to go on boat trips, or to view the game on the shores of the lake. The fishing can be very exciting, especially if you are lucky enough to catch a tiger fish. All the hotels have swimming pools, as it is dangerous to swim in the lake because of crocodiles and hippos.
